TINTYPE PHOTOGRAPHY
SESSIONS

By Matthew Stella

Please read the following information thoroughly before booking

Our favorite portraits to shoot are solo shots, but we can allow a maximum of 3 people in one portrait. Our lens is vintage and has a shallow depth of field, so the quality of a solo sitter will always be superior because we only have 1 subject to keep in focus. 3 people in a photo can also mean longer sit times so we can get focus right, and this does get difficult for children and pets.

We have some predetermined discounted package options for you to choose from if one fits your needs, or you can choose a single plate session if the package options don't work for you.
You do have the option to add on additional plates (either size) to the session. This option becomes available after you've selected the appointment, and right above where you choose your date.

Pets in a portrait: Case by case basis
Please read our FAQ page here to see if it’s a possibility for you.

Kids under 8 years old in a portrait: Case by case basis.
Please read our FAQ page here to see if it’s a possibility for you.

4 people or more in one portrait: This is not currently a possibility in our studio. We've created a package for families of 4 as a way to break up the session, but we cannot do a group shot.

Studio tintype portraits are STANDING waist up. Anything else requires prior approval. Our set up is for standing portraits and we adjust for height to get all subjects on the same level and evenly lit. If you have any special requests for framing outside of that (maternity, wheelchair, full body, props like instruments, one person sitting/one standing) we do require prior approval. You can just text us at 602-617-2220! We're usually open to these kinds of requests, however we do have to change our set up for them so we just need to be able to schedule you accordingly.
